April 13, 2006 - The new musical HOT
FEET, directed and choreographed by Maurice Hines, is now
scheduled to begin Broadway preview performances at the Hilton
Theatre on April 20 -- two days later than first announced.
The official opening of the show, which is currently playing
Washington, D.C.'s National Theater through April 9, is still

at Valley College, Cali with First Annual Cultural Achievement
Award of Excellence.... "Shining Star" Maurice White, founder
of 1970s funk giants Earth, Wind and Fire, came into view at
Monarch Hall on Monday where he was celebrated as the first
recipient of the Cultural Achievement Award of Excellence...
"I want to thank you for your support throughout these years,"
said the lead vocalist. "The group and I have been around for
30 years and I can't believe that we're still ticking." Apart
from encouraging the audience to "stay in tune with your
heart," White described the inspirations for some of his most
famous songs... "Fantasy," for instance, took three months to
write and was finally finished after he saw the film, "Close
Encounters of the Third Kind.".. Of the party anthem,
"September," White cryptically noted that he wrote it while in
a Washington, D.C. hotel room high above a riot." There is

compilation? Given the tremendous success of the Mr. Ray
Charles's CD and the partnership with Starbucks and others,
this proved to be a great strategy in marketing and promotion
for sure. "There are a lot of great talents who have been
forgotten by the business and disconnected from their

former band and hero's by capturing the essence of EWF vocals
and production. Morris Pleasure who plays keyboards/bass and
even trumphet solo's is just amazing on the project. They
thank God and give all respect to the genius of Mr.Maurice
White for allowing them to have played such important roles in
the BEST BAND of all and to have touched the world with LOVE.
